Today (9th August 2021) a workshop on the “Study on Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Bangladesh (EEPB)” has been arranged virtually on the occasion of the National Energy Security Day.
The study was implemented by Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Ministry of Housing and Public Works. EEPB was funded by Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP), and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) played an instrumental role in this study.
Dr. Angelika Fleddermann, Country Director, GIZ Bangladesh, Ms. Axum Teferra, Associate Director, Kigali Cooling Efficiency Programme (K-CEP) and Mr. Rajat Misra, Director General, Infrastructure Investment Department of AIIB attended the event as Guests of Honour.
Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, was the Chief Guest of the workshop. Mr. Md. Shahid Ullah Khandaker, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Public Works and Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Secretary, Power Division were present as Special Guests. Mr. Mohammad Alauddin, Chairman, SREDA chaired the event. Other participants from government and private organizations were also present in the workshop.
